Cellulite Diet

Cellulite is a kind of fat tissue in the subcutaneous layer of the skin which embraces constricting bands of connective tissue. Cellulite is actually a fiction name for collections of fat that push against the connective tissue beneath a person's skin, which causes the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker and look lumpy.

Various cause of cellulite such as diet has been shown to affect the growth and amount of cellulite. Excess amounts of fat, carbohydrates, salt, alcohol or too little fiber can all donate to an increased cellulite. Smoking, lack of exercise, tight clothes, high heeled shoes, and sitting or standing in a single position of long periods. Different genetic factors have been shown to be necessary for cellulite to develop.

Cellulite, according to these people, is a gel like substance made up of a mixture of fat, water and waste materials, all trapped as stationary lumps, just beneath the skin. A short-term cleansing diet to try and reduce the appearance of cellulite, avoid these foods. Caffeine also has a negative impact on lymph flow, causing toxins to build up in the body.

Limiting caffeine intake to just one cup of coffee or tea a day is good. Reducing sugar intake has a positive effect on overall weight management. Alcohol consumption increases fat levels in the blood. Alcohol also reduces absorption of certain anti fat agents like Vitamin C, calcium and zinc. Drink lemon juice, don't take hot baths, take up yoga, bathe in Epsom salts, wear loose clothes.

Omit all processed and refined foods from your cellulite reduction eating plan. Fatty and salty junk foods have to be neglected. Eating more foods like soy, blueberries and nuts. Adding onions to your meal is a prefect way of getting rid of cellulite. Foods rich in vitamins B, C and E, calcium, iodine, fiber and potassium are important for detoxification.

Some good sources of foods for treating cellulite are fresh vegetables such as asparagus and broccoli, avocados, oily fish, bananas, pears, bran and oat cereals. Organic vegetables and fruits are the best to cure cellulite. High carbohydrate foods like white rice and bread can be alternated with brown rice and wheat bread. Reducing the amount of fat by eating more grilled or steamed food is a better choice. Smoking should be avoided.
